Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 3, 2026

SBM Development SRL (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the goPanel application for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS, and the website at gopanel.io. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app and services.

By using goPanel, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Server Credentials

When you add a server to goPanel, you provide a hostname, port, username, and either a password or a PEM private key. These credentials are stored locally on your device in Core Data (encrypted at rest by the operating system). They are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

1.2 SSH Connections

goPanel connects directly from your device to your Linux server over SSH. There is no intermediary server, cloud relay, or proxy. All SSH traffic flows between your device and your server only.

1.3 AI Terminal Data

When you use the AI Terminal feature, your question and a summary of your server’s current state (CPU, memory, disk usage, installed services, domain list) are sent to Anthropic’s API (api.anthropic.com) for processing. This data is:

  • Encrypted in transit via TLS
  • Not used by Anthropic for model training
  • Not stored by Anthropic beyond the duration of the request
  • Limited to server metrics and your question — passwords and private keys are never included

1.4 Subscription & Purchase Data

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card, billing address). We receive a transaction receipt from Apple to verify your subscription status and grant AI credits.

1.5 AI Credit Verification

When AI credits are purchased or renewed via subscription, goPanel sends a signed App Store transaction (JWS token) to our API server at scripts.gopanel.io to validate the purchase and update your credit balance. This request contains:

  • The signed transaction token (Apple-issued, tamper-proof)
  • A device-derived identifier for credit tracking

No server credentials, IP addresses, or personal information are included in this request.

1.6 Usage Analytics

goPanel does not include any third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track which features you use, which screens you visit, or how long you use the app. Apple may collect anonymised crash reports and usage statistics if you have opted into sharing diagnostics with app developers in your device settings.

1.7 Account Information

goPanel does not require an account. There is no signup, no login, and no email address collected. If iCloud sync is enabled (Pro and Unlimited plans), your server list syncs via your personal Apple iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Server management — Your credentials are used solely to establish SSH connections to servers you have added.
  • AI diagnostics — Server metrics are sent to Anthropic to generate AI-powered answers and commands in the AI Terminal.
  • Purchase verification — Signed App Store transactions are validated server-side to grant subscription benefits and AI credits.
  • iCloud sync — If enabled, your server list is synced across your devices via Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure.

3. Third-Party Services

goPanel uses the following third-party services:

ServicePurposeData Shared
Anthropic (Claude API)AI Terminal responsesServer metrics + your question (no credentials)
Apple App StoreSubscription & purchase processingPayment handled entirely by Apple
Apple iCloud (CloudKit)Server list sync (optional)Server names, hostnames (encrypted by Apple)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

4. Data Security

  • All SSH connections use industry-standard encryption (SSH protocol).
  • Server credentials are stored in the device’s encrypted local storage (Core Data with OS-level encryption).
  • AI Terminal requests use TLS encryption in transit.
  • No server credentials are ever transmitted to our servers or Anthropic.
  • No software, agents, or daemons are installed on your Linux servers.

5. Data Retention

  • Server credentials — Stored on your device until you delete the server from goPanel.
  • AI conversations — Not stored. Each AI Terminal session is ephemeral — no conversation history is saved on our servers or on your device.
  • Purchase records — Transaction verification data is retained on our API server for credit accounting purposes.
  • iCloud data — Managed by Apple. Deleted when you remove the app or disable iCloud sync.

6. Children’s Privacy

goPanel is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to processing of your data
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

Since goPanel stores credentials locally on your device and does not maintain user accounts, most data management can be done by simply deleting servers from the app or uninstalling it. For any data held on our API server (purchase records), contact us using the details below.

8. International Data Transfers

AI Terminal requests are processed by Anthropic, which may process data in the United States. Purchase verification requests are processed by our API server. Appropriate safeguards (TLS encryption, minimal data transfer) are in place for all international data transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of goPanel after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
